E-drug: Messages not received by e-drug
---------------------------------------------
E-druggers sometimes wonder why their messages were not received by
the e-drug moderator.
There are 2 main reasons
1. Change of address
2. You sent an attachment.
Problem 1: Change of address
Explanation: You can only send a message to E-Drug from the original
email address that you used when you originally subscribed. If you
use a new address to send a message to e-drug the message will not
pass the server because it has a filter to reject SPAM - addresses
not registered.
Solution: unsubscribe your old address and subscribe your new
address before contributing. Subscribing and unsubscribing can be done
as often as you like
Problem 2. You have attached a document.
Explanation: Attachments cannot pass the server. They arrive at the
moderators desk in the form of an enormous quantity of rubbish. If
the attachment is accompanied by a text message the moderator will
get back to you explaining that the attachment could not be received
and asking for any important information to be included in the text.
If there is no text, there is no source of the information and the
moderator cannot reply.
Solution: Do not send attachments!! Put all relevant information in
the text of the message. You can also suggest that interested people
contact you individually for further information.
