E-drug: Chloroquine + proguanil as malaria prophylaxis
------------------------------------------------------
Can e-druggers let me have their opinion on the efficacy of
chloroquine and proguanil (Paludrine) as compared to alternatives?
Reports of decreasing efficacy in Africa are worrying me, and I
wonder whether I can still recommend the combination as an
alternative to mefloquine, or whether doxycycline should be the
recommended alternative, as I believe is the US practice, proguanil
not being registered in the USA>
Thanks for your help.

[Malaria resistance and prophylaxis information is depending on the
country's policy, which is in turn influenced by WHO advice.
There is a WHO discussion list on tropical diseases where they might

Anybody knows a dedicated site for malaria drug resistance debate?
