Hi,
Does anyone have any information which supports the
efficacy of sorbitol for hepatic encephalopathy? The only literature
I have found indicates lactulose as being a superior agent, and is
generally published up to 30 years ago. Do other institutions
substitute sorbitol for lactulose, and is it effective?
